Hard reset Android devices safely

Hard reset also called Factory Reset or Master Reset.  Hard reset for most Android Devices like the Samsung Galaxy, Sony Xperia, HTC, Motorola, Huawei, LG, Lenovo, Asus, Acer, Alcatel, ZTE, and others are the same.

Hard reset in general can be done by 2 methods:

1.   Hard reset via Settings menu

Where we can go and access the android device normally. To hard reset first way is almost the same for all Android devices.  Generally stage a hard reset phase as follows:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Backup and reset
  3. Factory Data Reset
  4. Reset device
  5. Erase everything
  6. Done!

2. External Hardware reset.

This method is used in the condition of the equipment can not access the android through the Settings menu. By pressing a few buttons at the same time to enter the Android System Recovery menu or Android Recovery Mode.
How to hard reset by pressing a few at a time is not the same for every android device. Target by pressing a few keys at once is to go into Recovery Mode. In the Recovery mode option is available to perform a factory reset.

Hard reset method 1 is easier to do and to do it not necessarily have the expertise.  Moderate method 2 should really understand what was done.  

A hard reset will restore the android device to factory settings and delete all data in the internal memory. Is the recommended before performing a hard reset, backup important data first.

The reason to do a hard reset the device:

  • Android system infected with virus
  • Android system hangs
  • To delete personal data before they are sold or handed over to others
  • Failure to update software

Keeping personal data can not be recovered before sold or given to others.

After a hard reset does not guarantee personal data has been erased. To ensure that personal data can not be recovered back is by doing the first android device encryption before doing a hard reset. The device encryption passwords that are very difficult to use special characters. Password length exceeds 11 characters.
