How to enter Samsung Galaxy J1 SM-J100ML Recovery Mode, Hard reset, Download Mode / Odin Mode and Remove Unlock Pattern.

Recovery Mode Samsung Galaxy J1 SM-J100ML

  1. Turn off the device
  2. Press and hold Volume UP key + Home Key, while pressing these keys then press and hold Power key for a while
  3. Release all key when Android or Samsung logo appear then you will see Android System Recovery
  4. Use Volume keys to select Menu
  5. Use Power key to Confirm

Download Mode or ODIN Mode

  1. Turn off the device
  2. Press and hold Volume Down key + Home Key, while pressing these keys then press and hold Power key for a while
  3. Release all key when you see ODIN Mode / Download Mode
  4. Use Volume Up key to continue
  5. Use Volume Down key to cancel ( Restart the device )

Hard reset Samsung Galaxy J1 SM-J100ML using External Keys ( remove your forgotten pattern unlock )

  1. In Recovery Mode, use Volume keys to select wipe data / factory reset
  2. Press Power key to confirm
  3. Use Volume keys to select Yes — delete all user data
  4. Press power key to confirm
  5. Use Volume keys to select Reboot system now
  6. Press power key to confirm

Hard reset using Settings Menu

  1. Turn on the device
  2. Select Apps
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Backup and reset
  5. Select Factory data reset
  6. Select Reset device
  7. Select Erase Everything
  8. Select Ok

Warning! If you perform a hard reset, make sure to back up important data. The data can not be recovered after perform a hard reset. If you forgot your unlock pattern, It will remove your forgotten pattern unlock.

  1. My apps are still not working even after hard reset. I’m using Samsung galaxy J1 sm-j100ml. I reinstall everything but apps still shuts down. And it says “unfortunately (app) has stopped”. I also cleared the data and xlear cached it. Please help.

    • Try to press and hold power key about a few seconds till the device reboot. If it does not work, remove the battery and reinsert it.
