Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro Touch Screen Problem after Update to Android 8.1.0 Oreo

September 24, 2018 | By androidhowto@youtube | Filed in: Android.

I got some comments on my youtube channel about OTA Update: Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro SM-J730G to Android 8.1.0 Oreo.  The problem is Galaxy J7 Pro Touch screen unresponsive or does not work after update it to Android 8.10 Oreo. Samsung suggest to hard reset it or rebooting the J7 pro but that’s not work to fix the problem.

I suggest you, don’t update it to android 8.1.0 Oreo right now. If you want to still update it, make sure to backup your important data.  Also you must have a phone backup If your phone does not work normally.  You have no choice to downgrade it to Android 7.0 Nougat because It will failed.

J7 Pro touch screen problem did not happen to all countries I think it happened for some countries.  You know why? Because my Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro SM-J730G / DS working good and there is no problem after update to Android 8.1.0, I was lucky!

I also have tried to downgrade it to android 7.0 Nougat but it failed with error message “SW. REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 5, BINARY: 4“.  I have try to use different firmware date update but failed too.  My suggestion is just wait and see till Samsung fix this problem.  I will post if the update available or the case fixed.

Try to update or re-flash the ROM manually using ODIN, It may be solve the touch screen problem.  I have succeed flashing the Android Oreo firmware on Galaxy J7 Pro SM-J730G. We can not use original ODIN v3.13.1 but Patched ODIN.

Free download link Android 8.1.0 Oreo firmware for Galaxy J7 Pro SM-J730G available for available for Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand.
