How to enter Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 SM-P900 Recovery Mode, Hard reset, Download Mode / Odin Mode and Pattern Unlock.

Recovery Mode Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 SM-P900

  1. Turn off the device
  2. Press and hold Volume UP key + Home Key, while pressing these keys then press and hold Power key for a while
  3. Release all key when Android or Samsung logo appear then you will see Android System Recovery
  4. Use Volume keys to select Menu
  5. Use Power key to Confirm

Download Mode or ODIN Mode

  1. Turn off the device
  2. Press and hold Volume Down key + Home Key, while pressing these keys then press and hold Power key for a while
  3. Release all key when you see ODIN Mode / Download Mode
  4. Use Volume Up key to continue
  5. Use Volume Down key to cancel ( Restart the device )

Hard reset Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 SM-P900 using External Keys ( remove your forgotten pattern unlock )

  1. In Recovery Mode select wipe data / factory reset
  2. press Power key to confirm
  3. select Yes — delete all user data, press power key to confirm
  4. select Reboot system now to finish hard reset

Hard reset using Settings Menu

  1. Turn on the device
  2. Select Apps
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Backup and reset
  5. Select Factory data reset
  6. Select Reset device
  7. Select Erase Everything
  8. Select Ok

Warning! If you perform a hard reset, make sure to back up important data. One piece of info that might help people trying to customize the recovery of their Samsung devices: whenever the Samsung OS boots it overwrites the recovery partition with the default partition. If you have loaded an alternate (as with Odin or Heimdall) and the devices auto-reboots, your customer recovery partition is gone. Block the auto-reboot (on Heimdall command line add –no-reboot) and restart the device directly into recovery mode per your insructions.

  2. What if you enter the password that was “previously used on this account” and message pops up “Invalid Password” or “Processing Failed”? I also reset my password and it still doesn’t work.
