How to Return to Previous Security Patch Level Update on Samsung Galaxy A50 from latest October 1, 2019 security patch level update back to August 1, 2019. The procedure is same for flashing official ROM that you need to do is downloading the right firmware update version.  Now download the firmware with Security Patch Level ( SPL ) Update August 1, 2019.  There are may be some SPL updates, I suggest you download the latest SPL Update August 1, 2019 . Below is SPL update for Galaxy A50 SM-A505F, now you focus on SPL Update.  If you get error message “SECURE CHECK FAIL: BOOTLOADER” when flashed the ROM, try to use the newest version of the firmware update.

How to flashing the firmware  on Samsung Galaxy A50 :

  1. Extract (unzip) the firmware file.
  2. Download Odin http://odindownload.com/SamsungOdin/
  3. Extract Odin ZIP file
  4. Open Odin
  5. Add the firmware files AP, BL, CP and CSC.
  6. In Option make sure to ticked F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot only
  7. Enter Download Mode / Bootloader mode ( Turn Power off the phone, Press and hold Volume Up key and Power key, when Samsung logo appears release Power key only. Release Volume key when Android Recovery appears, select Reboot to Bootloader, press power key to confirm )
  8. Connect the phone to PC using USB Cable
  9. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
  10. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes

Make sure to backup all your important data because It will all your data and restore it to default factory settings.

Warning!

  1. Make sure to backup your data, It will erase all the data.
  2. Make sure the firmware is match with your Samsung Galaxy model number
  3. Make sure to ticked F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot only
  4. if you get error message “SECURE CHECK FAIL: BOOTLOADER” when flashed the ROM, try to use the newest version of the firmware update.
  5. If your device rooted, flashing firmware will unroot it.
  6. Do this with your own risk
