    • Did you completed install TWRP via ODIN? If yes, you can enter recovery mode ( turn off your device, press and hold volume up key + home key then press and hold power key while pressing these keys, release all keys when you see samsung galaxy grand prime logo )

  2. sir what if i already finished this steps and successfully rooted. and i want to clear data factory coz its kinda lag. if I cleare wipe data its gona be bootloop or its still running with root or it will bootloop?

  3. I suggested not to download lollipop 5.0.2 because this will stop ur home key button working and also remove the palm feature in camera mode

    • I confirmed everything working fine. I have tested to my samsung galaxy grand prime SM-G530H update to android lollipop 5.0.2 using Country India Firmware ( my device Indonesia Country ). Palm feature in Camera mode and Home Key, I confirmed is working fine. I have tested it. Let me know if someone get problem after upgrade their galaxy prime?
Hi Romesh let me know your prime country and what firmware that you use to upgrade your device to lollipop 5.0.2. As I know There is no issue about palm feature and the home key.

        • You can use other country but the model must match with SM-G530H. I am using SM-G530H indonesia, but I upgrade to Android 5.0.2 using SM-G530H firmware for India.

  4. Those this method works on other brands like SONY Xperia? I have tried rooting my Samsung Galaxy S4 with oneclickroot but i want to root my SONY Xperia M4 Aqua. Thus this method works on this device?

    • I never tested it on Sony device. I think this methode does not work on sony. Samsung and sony have different firmware and hardware.

  5. I have downloaded twrp from 4shared.com and flashed it through odin 3.10. And got the PASS message. But after it when I entered into the recovery mode..I saw there is no twrp recovery…It is the stock recovery. So plz help me

  8. Thnks for ur response, as u said i’ve done it and twrp also installed but as u shown above I din’t get install button in mine recovery mode. what should i do? it says it failed to verify the signature somethng

        • I have experience too like this. Try to download the TWRP file. If the file in ZIP, you must unzip it to get TAR file.

          • Thanks for your response again, and the thing is gone well for me there I got all fine and after all work finished I rebooted the device and I got one app called SuperSu. Do I need to do something inside the SuperSu app?
            Thanks in advance

          • If you see supersu app it’s means your device is rooted. You don’t need to do anything with SuperSU. If you install an apps that need rooted, SuperSU will warn you to grant or not the app to access root. Now You can remove default app that you don’t like. You can use Link2SD app to remove default apps. I am sure not all of default app we used 🙂

  9. You are so kind to me. Thanks for that now I have one issue but I don’t knw whether that is problem or not that is after rooting the device What I face is whenever I uninstall app or move apps to sdcard my device used to reboot. What does is mean?

    Thanks in advance

    • Try to download the TWRP file. If the file in ZIP, you must unzip it to get TAR file. then reflashing it to your device. after that perform a factory reset, make sure to backup your data.

        • Odin engine v(ID:3.1100)..
          File analysis..
          SetupConnection..
          Initialzation..
          Get PIT for mapping..
          Firmware update start..
          SingleDownload.
          recovery.img
          NAND Write Start!!
          RQT_CLOSE !!
          RES OK !!
          Removed!!
          Remain Port …. 0
All threads completed. (succeed 1 / failed 0)
          Added!!

this is the log i m getting when i flashed twrp.is thisok?especially that RQT_CLOSED!is this normal?

        • The file is ok and worked, or you can try download it from other link, check it on xda developer for other links.

  11. I’m still waiting my previous quest answer. Now I’ve another issue that What if I do factory reset after reboot then what happens? Should I do or not coz the app that were installed before root causing me to reboot it automatically after updates or move to sd card but new apps installed after root have no problems.

    Thanks in advance.

    • I only suggest to do factory reset if you get boot loop. Sometimes rooting will cause a problem to apps. After rooted my device I do factory reset, it will clear all caches for old installed apps.

  12. Previously I had Android 4.4.4 and upgraded to 5.0.2 Russian version. Now I want to root it. After installation 5.0.2,
I have successfully installed TWRP…tar file. But, When I tried to ‘update from external storage’ and select SuperSu.zip it starts to install and displays ‘Update failed’ with green font and turn off automatically. Finally the device is not rooted.
    What can be the problem?
Does it effect the mobile if I can’t install SuperSu?

    • You must root the device first before install SuperSU apps. I recommend you use autoroot file to root your device, because in the file included superSU apps. then I recommend you to upgrade your device using India Firmware version for SM-G530H. My Prime SM-G530H is Indonesia country but I use India firmware version to upgrade it to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. I can root and install TWRP with the firmware version.

  13. Hello. I’ve tried installing twrp and it said succeed but i still have the old recovery mode and can;t install supersu. Here is my phone firmware G530HXCS1BQA2 csc G530HOLB1BPG1 baseband G530HXCS1BQA1. This is the lastest update in my country as of now (just released a few days ago) but i want to root it. Do i have to flash another country’s firmware first? If yes, which country do you suggest?

    • I use India country/region firmware Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, you can try it. But do this first before flash the firmware, when flashing the twrp recoveryOdin Option make sure to ticked F.Reset Time only and disable Auto-Reboot. To Turn power off it by removing the battery and re-insert it. Then enter the TWRP Recovery mode: Press and hold Volume Up key + Home Key, while pressing these keys Press and hold Power key, Release all key when TWRP recovery appears. Some just confirm if auto reboot enable in odin, the recovery mode will be back to stock recovery. try this and let me know
