TWRP Recovery for Samsung Galaxy J1 SM-J100H

How to Install TWRP Custom Recovery for Samsung Galaxy J1 SM-J100H. It will install TWRP custom recovery via Odin Install Method and No Root Required. Recommended to Download TWRP Recovery file from official TWRP website or XDA-Developer source. Make sure your samsung model number matched with the TWRP recovery file version.

How to Install TWRP Recovery on Samsung Galaxy J1 SM-J100H follow this steps :

Prepare your device:

  • Enable Developer Options: go to Settings -> About device. Tap 7 times on Build number to enable Developer options.
  • Enable OEM unlock and USB debugging options ( Settings -> Developer options )
  • Download and Extract ODIN http://odindownload.com/download/Odin3_v3.11.1.zip or latest odin version at http://odindownload.com/download/
  • Download and Install Samsung Mobile Phone Drivers: http://developer.samsung.com/technical-doc/view.do?v=T000000117
  • Download TWRP-14102015-J13G.tar : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347837504

Flashing TWRP Recovery

  1. Open Odin
  2. Reboot Phone in Download Mode ( Turn Power off the phone, Press and hold Volume Down key and Home key, While pressing these keys press and hold Power key, Release all key when Download Mode / Odin Mode appears then press Volume up )
  3. Connect the phone to PC with USB Cable Data, then Press and release Volume Up key
  4. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
  5. Add the TWRP .tar file to AP / PDA
  6. In Option make sure to ticked F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot only.
  7. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes

Note: many devices will replace your custom recovery automatically during first boot. To prevent this, use the link above to enter Samsung recovery mode. After typing fastboot reboot, It will boot to TWRP. Once TWRP is booted, TWRP will patch the stock ROM to prevent the stock ROM from replacing TWRP. If you don’t follow this step, you will have to repeat the install. ( from TWRP official website ).
