Download RiceDroid 8.5 for Poco X3

  1. Your phone must be Installed TWRP.  If not, you can read How to Install TWRP 3.7.0 12-2 FBEv2/FBEv1 Android 12/13 for Poco X3 Update: 20221127
  2. Download riceDroid-13.0-2022113002-surya-v8.5-PIXEL-COMMUNITY.zip
  3. Download fw_surya_miui_SURYAGlobal_V13.0.1.0.SJGMIXM_e6fc65cbd3_12.0.zip ( if necessary )
  4. Download Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_20210320.zip
  5. Download NikGapps-core-arm64-13-20220908-signed.zip
  6. Download GCAM 8.2 MOD for Xiaomi Phone ( if necessary )
  7. Download Magisk: Magisk.apk or latest rename it to Magisk.zip ( if necessary )
  8. Copy ROM to SD Card ( Recommended )

Install Instructions RiceDroid 8.5 for Poco X3

  1. Enter TWRP Recovery Mode: Turn Power off, Press and Hold Volume Up + Power key, When POCO logo appears release Power key only, keep pressing Volume Up until TWRP Recovery appears.
  2. First Important Step is to Backup (though depends on you if you wanna be safe or no )
  3. Select Install – select riceDroid-13.0-2022113002-surya-v8.5-PIXEL-COMMUNITY.zip, Swipe to confirm Flash
  4. Select Install – select fw_surya_miui_SURYAGlobal_V13.0.1.0.SJGMIXM_e6fc65cbd3_12.0.zip, Swipe to confirm Flash
  5. Select Wipe – Format Data – type “yes” and confirm
  6. Select Reboot – System
  7. Setup the Phone

How to Install GApps ( if necessary )

  • Enter TWRP Recovery Mode: Turn Power off, Press and Hold Volume Up + Power key, When POCO logo appears release Power key only, keep pressing Volume Up until TWRP Recovery appears.
  • Select Install – select NikGapps-core-arm64-13-20220908-signed.zip, Swipe to confirm Flash
  • Select Reboot – System

How to Root ( if necessary )

  • Enter TWRP Recovery Mode: Turn Power off, Press and Hold Volume Up + Power key, When POCO logo appears release Power key only, keep pressing Volume Up until TWRP Recovery appears.
  • Install Magisk.zip
  • Reboot to System
  • Connect Phone to Internet
  • Install Magisk app and Open it. Magisk will ask to do additional setups. Let it do its job and the app will automatically reboot your device.
  • Done

Enter TWRP Recovery

You can enter TWRP recovery with 2 methods: via adb command by type “adb reboot recovery” and by pressing keys combinations ( Turn power off, press and hold volume up + Power key, when POCO logo appears release power key, keep pressing volume until TWRP recovery appears )

Notes / Warning!

  1. Use at your own risk, I’m not responsible for bricking your device.
  2. Using the incorrect file may brick your device.
  3. If your target device has a custom firmware flash counter, Rooting will trigger it. If you’re lucky, Triangle Away has support for your device and can be used to reset the counter.
  4. If you have a KNOX-enabled device, flash custom rom and Rooting will trip the KNOX WARRANTY VOID status!
  5. If your device storage is encrypted, Rooting will wipe your data !
  6. If you have locked bootloaders, flashing one of these will probably brick your device – with the exception of Nexus devices, which will usually automatically “OEM unlock” and wipe your data !
  7. Make sure to backup your important data before root it
