Custom ROM Havoc GSI 3.1 Android 10 Q for Samsung Galaxy A50

How to Flash Custom ROM Havoc GSI 3.1 Android 10 Q for Samsung Galaxy A50. Havoc comes with ROM OS Android 10 Q Security patch : January 2020. ROM Firmware Required: TWRP Recovery.  Version Information Status: Stable GSI ROM, Last Updated 2020-01-28. To install this Custom ROM, your phone must be installed TWRP Custom Recovery. Use at your own risk, I’m not responsible for bricking your device. Require Tools:

  1. Your phone must be Installed TWRP Recovery. If not, you can read How to Flash TWRP on Samsung Galaxy A50.
  2. Download Havoc GSI ROM at https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a50/how-to/how-to-flash-rom-havoc-gsi-2-9-t3967007
  3. Download GAPPS at https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a50/how-to/how-to-flash-rom-havoc-gsi-2-9-t3967007

How to Install GSI ROM Android 10 Q on Samsung Galaxy A50 :

  1. Enter TWRP Recovery Mode: Turn power off; Press and hold Volume Up key + Power key, when samsung logo appears release power key only, keep pressing volume up until TWRP recovery appears
  2. Select Wipe – Format Data – type “yes” and confirm
  3. Select Reboot – Power off
  4. Enter TWRP Recovery Mode: Turn power off; Press and hold Volume Up key + Power key, when samsung logo appears release power key only, keep pressing volume up until TWRP recovery appears
  5. Copy GSI ROM and GAPPS to your phone
  6. Install – Install Image – select Havoc-OS-v3.1-20200111-ARM64AB-GSI.img – select System Image and Confirm to flash.
  7. Select Reboot – Power off
  8. Enter TWRP Recovery Mode: Turn power off; Press and hold Volume Up key + Power key, when samsung logo appears release power key only, keep pressing volume up until TWRP recovery appears
  9. Select Wipe – Advanced Wipe – select “System” – Repair or Change File System – Resize File System – Confirm to Resize
  10. Select Mount – select “System” & “Vendor”
  11. Select Install – select open_gapps-arm64-10.0-nano-20190920-UNOFFICIAL.zip and Confirm Flash
  12. Reboot – System
  13. Setup the phone – Done!

If you want to uninstall this custom ROM and back to stock ROM, just flash the stock ROM to your device. Flashing stock ROM will also uninstall TWRP Recovery and it will back to stock Android Recovery. Notes / Warning!

  1. Use at your own risk, I’m not responsible for bricking your device.
  2. Using the incorrect file may brick your device.
  3. If your target device has a custom firmware flash counter, Rooting will trigger it. If you’re lucky, Triangle Away has support for your device and can be used to reset the counter.
  4. If you have a KNOX-enabled device, flash custom rom and Rooting will trip the KNOX WARRANTY VOID status!
  5. If your device storage is encrypted, Rooting will wipe your data !
  6. If you have locked bootloaders, flashing one of these will probably brick your device – with the exception of Nexus devices, which will usually automatically “OEM unlock” and wipe your data !
  7. Make sure to backup your important data before root it.
