Root Samsung Galaxy M30s SM-M307F Android 10 Q – BTC6 Firmware

How to root Samsung Galaxy M30s SM-M307F Android 10 Q – BTC6 Firmware using ODIN software. This Root method use Latest Magisk Manager and patched Magisk to firmware file. Read notes / Warning on the bottom of this post before perform root your Samsung Galaxy M30s. Take it your own risk! Follow the instruction carefully and Make sure to backup all your important data!

Step by step Rooting Samsung Galaxy M30s SM-M307F Android 10 Q

Patched Magisk t0 AP .tar file and Rooting Galaxy M30s SM-M307F Android 10 Q with Magisk Manager :

    1. Download the firmware Galaxy M30s.
    2. Unzip the firmware and copy the AP tar file to your device. It is normally named as AP_[device_model_sw_ver].tar.md5. Copy AP tar file and MagiskManager.apk to your phone.
    3. Connect the phone to internet
    4. Install Magisk Manager on your phone.
    5. In Magisk Manager: Install → Install → Select and Patch a File
    6. Select the AP tar file. Magisk Manager will patch the whole firmware file and store the output to [Internal Storage]/Download/magisk_patched.tar. Copy magisk_patched.tar the tar file to your PC
    7. Reboot to Bootloader: Turn Power Off. Press and hold Volume Up key + Power Key, When Samsung Logo appears release Power Key only, keep pressing Volume Up key until Android Recovery Mode Appears. Select Reboot to bootloader.
    8. Open ODIN, Flash magisk_patched.tar as AP in ODIN, together with the BL, CP and HOME_CSC files.
    9. Important: Uncheck “Auto Reboot” in Options!
    10. Connect the phone to PC using USB Cable then Click Start
    11. Magisk is now successfully flashed to your device! Several steps before you can properly use the device.
    12. Full data wipe is mandatory! Do not skip this step.
      Press and hold Volume Down + Power Key, when the screen blank quickly press and hold Volume Up + Power key, when Samsung Logo appears release Power key only, when working Android logo appears press and hold again Volume Up + Power key when Samsung logo appears release power key only and keep pressing Volume Up key until Android Recovery Mode Appears.
    13. Select Wipe data / Factory reset
    14. Select Reboot system now.  When screen blank Quickly Press and hold Volume Up + Power key, when Samsung logo appears release all keys
    15. After the device is booted up, do the usual initial setup. It need more time and patient.
    16. Connect the phone to Internet, Install Magisk Manager and Open Magisk Manager. It will ask to do additional setups. Let it do its job and the app will automatically reboot your device.
    17. You will face Bootloop after the phone rebooting, follow the instruction below to fix it

How to Fix the Bootloop

STEP 1: Boot System Without Magisk

Press and hold Volume Down + Power Key, when the screen blank quickly press and hold Volume Up + Power key, when Samsung Logo appears release Power key only, keep pressing Volume Up key until Android Recovery Mode Appears. Select Reboot system now

STEP 2: Clear Magisk Manager Data / Cache

Go to Settings – Apps – Magisk Manager ( select Storage – Clear data )

STEP 3: Boot System with Magisk

Turn Power Off. Press and hold Volume Up key + Power Key, When Samsung Logo appears release All Keys.

If something goes wrong and you want to unroot it, just flash the ROM to make it works again. Read How to flash Galaxy M30s.

Notes / Warning!

  1. Use at your own risk, I’m not responsible for bricking your device.
  2. Using the incorrect file may brick your device.
  3. If your target device has a custom firmware flash counter, Rooting will trigger it. If you’re lucky, Triangle Away has support for your device and can be used to reset the counter.
  4. If you have a KNOX-enabled device, Rooting will trip the KNOX WARRANTY VOID status !
  5. If your device storage is encrypted, Rooting will wipe your data !
  6. If you have locked bootloaders, flashing one of these will probably brick your device – with the exception of Nexus devices, which will usually automatically “OEM unlock” and wipe your data !
  7. Make sure to backup your important data before root it.
