How to hard reset Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime and enter Recovery Mode, Download Mode / Odin Mode and Remove Unlock Pattern. We can do it with 2 ways by pressing combinations of external hardware keys and from Settings menu. Make sure to back up your important data. The data can not be recovered after perform a hard reset.

Recovery Mode Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime

  1. Turn off the device
  2. Press and hold Volume UP key + Home Key, while pressing these keys then press and hold Power key for a while
  3. Release all key when Android or Samsung logo appear then you will see Android System Recovery
  4. Use Volume keys to select Menu
  5. Use Power key to Confirm

Download Mode or ODIN Mode

  1. Turn off the device
  2. Press and hold Volume Down key + Home Key, while pressing these keys then press and hold Power key for a while
  3. Release all key when you see ODIN Mode / Download Mode
  4. Use Volume Up key to continue
  5. Use Volume Down key to cancel ( Restart the device )

Warning! If you perform a hard reset, make sure to back up important data. The data can not be recovered after perform a hard reset. If you forgot your unlock pattern, It will remove your forgotten pattern unlock.

Hard reset Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime using External Keys ( remove your forgotten pattern unlock )

  1. In Recovery Mode select wipe data / factory reset
  2. press Power key to confirm
  3. select Yes — delete all user data, press power key to confirm
  4. select Reboot system now to finish hard reset

Soft reset using Settings Menu

  1. Turn on the device
  2. Select Apps
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Backup and reset
  5. Select Factory data reset
  6. Select Reset device
  7. Select Erase Everything
  8. Select Ok
