How to Root Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime SM-G610F with Magisk v24.1. The device must be installed TWRP 3.6.0. This rooting used Magisk v24.1 latest works for Galaxy J7 Prime SM-G610F Android 8.1.0 Oreo. Download Root Files for Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime SM-G610F
- Extract (unzip) the firmware file ( AP, BL, CP, CSC )
- Enable Developer Options: go to Settings -> About device. Tap 7 times on Build number to enable Developer options.
- Enable OEM unlock and USB debugging options ( Settings -> Developer options )
- Download and Extract ODIN v3.13.1 from https://odindownload.com/SamsungOdin/
- Download and Install Samsung Mobile Phone Drivers
- Download twrp-3.6.0_9-on7xelte.tar
- Download Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip
- Download Magisk: Magisk-v24.1.apk or latest, rename it to Magisk-v24.1.zip
How to Flash TWRP for Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime SM-G610F
- Enable Developer Options: go to Settings -> About device. Tap 7 times on Build number to enable Developer options.
- Enable OEM unlock and USB debugging options ( Settings -> Developer options )
- Reboot Phone in Download Mode ( Turn Power off the phone, Press and hold Volume Down key + Home key then press and hold Power key, Release all key when Download Mode / Odin Mode appears then Press and release Volume Up key )
- Connect phone to PC
- Open ODIN, IMPORTANT!: Uncheck “Auto Reboot” in Options!
- Flashing twrp-3.6.0_9-on7xelte.tar as AP in ODIN, then click start.
- DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP! To get out of Download mode and Enter TWRP Recovery mode: Press and hold Volume Down + Home key + then Power key and when the screen blanks quickly press and hold press Volume Up + Home key and Power key. Release all keys when Galaxy J7 Prime logo appears.
- Select Wipe -> Format data, type ‘yes’ and confirm
- Copy Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip to phone.
- Select Install – Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip, Swipe to confirm Flash. You must install this file to avoid boot loop and Decrypt data partition.
- Select Reboot to System
- Done
Root Instruction: Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime SM-G610F with Magisk v24.1
- Enter TWRP Recovery mode: Turn power off, Press and hold Volume Up + Home key + then Power key, when Galaxy J7 Prime logo appears release all keys.
- Copy Magisk-v24.1.zip to phone
- Select Install – select Magisk-v24.1.zip, Swipe to confirm Flash
- Select Reboot to System
- Connect Phone to Internet
- Install Magisk app and Open it. Magisk will ask to do additional setups. Let it do its job and the app will automatically reboot your device.
- Done!
